- I went to another venue that holds live performances every day, performing genres ranging from blues, soul and rnb
- Went on a Sunday that was advertised as a “live blues” night
- Though, I wasn’t in the audience of the live band, and rather sat in the restaurant bit of the venue – it was the other side of the bar, there were speakers throughout the whole place, so everyone could tune in to the live music
- The band involved two guitarists, a vocalist and a double bass player, so not much to the setup: they were sitting in a line, since the stage was pretty small, with the guitar amps placed behind the band and miked up
- There was a row of 4 monitoring speakers at the edge of the stage
- For communication between the band, the guitarists would look over to each other to keep the flow, whilst the double bassist would try to match them and the middle guitarist would look over every now and again to make sure everything is cohesive and on beat with each other
- The double bassist would focus more on the monitoring speaker to keep in time with the guitarists, since she wouldn’t be looking much at the other guitarists

>notes I took about the performance, with a rough sketch of the setup
